Girls Room

I painted this room for my friend Shelley's little girl Emily. She is so cute! She had flowers and the colors pink and white in her room, so I went with a thinner tree to make it seem more delicate and girly. To make it more lively I painted green vines coming off of the branches and wrapping around the door. Then I painted flowers blowing off in one direction. The tree is more detailed in color and the flowers are multicolored but more simple.

I did this because Emily is still little and I felt it gave her nursery a more childlike feel. I had a lot of fun painting this because I don't get to do girl things often.

Canvas Paintings

I painted this for my little brother Sam. He is into bmx and had a photo of him going off a jump with the sunset
in the background so I decided to paint it for him for his 14th birthday. Then I added the graffiti name to personalize it even more. He loved it!

This I painted for my dining room. It's fallen leaves onto tree roots. I liked this a lot because it didn't have to be simple. It could be messy, chaotic, and random. I loved the colors and how warm it is but what I love the most is the detail in each leaf. It took awhile but it was so worth it in the end.

Computer Chip Room

My son loves anything electronic! Computers, phones, etc. so I decided to do a computer chip room with a modern twist and this is how it turned out! I love it! My son stares at the painting, running his fingers along the lines on the painted computer chip.

Disney Movie Theater Room!

I painted this Disney movie room for a friend of mine, Katie Stowell. She wanted something fun in her movie room so we tossed ideas back and forth and this was what we came up with. It was such a fun room to paint. I loved the challenge of putting something with a lot of detail on a big wall. The only down side was her walls were very very textured so it took a while to paint and try to make all the lines as straight as I could get them. I had so much fun with this theme. We did eight Disney characters, Walt Disney himself, and Katies two dogs. In addition, I painted some other little things here and there.  I'm so happy with how it turned out!

Family Tree

I painted these family trees this last month but I could not put them up on the blog because they were Christmas gifts to my parents and my husbands parents. I have wanted to do family trees for a long time but just never sat down and did it. Until now.
So a little bit about the paintings. The one for my husbands parents is a thinner tree because they have a smaller family than mine. It has three bigger main branches that represent their three kids. My parents have seven kids so I made their tree thicker and with seven main branches. I kept it all simple with just the last name to the right of the tree.
I love to paint on canvas! I hope this shows that I can paint to someone's liking. I understand that not everyone likes their walls painted and that some would much rather hang a painting. There are so many different ways to personalize your wall in your home and I hope that I can help you do that.

A Night In Bethlehem

My sister Rachel was doing a night with Mary in Bethlehem for church and she asked if I could paint a backdrop that looked like wood in a stable. I told her it was no problem... the down side was I had only two days to do it so I got started and this was the end result! I had a lot of fun painting it and it was so cool to hear all the nice things everyone said about it at the event!

No More Monkeys Jumpin' On The Bed

I just recently painted this for a friend of mine and her new baby boy, Mark (who is a real cutie, I might add)! But back to the wall. She wanted monkeys and animals in the room. She showed me what she had in mind and a few hours later, little Marks room was done. I LOVE how it all turned out!
